Best of the rest, 2011 wrap up

It has been a little more than a month since my last post. A mix of school, the holidays, and puppy emergencies has kept me especially busy. However, without further ado, I present my wrap up to the 2011 year. This is a hodge-podge of photos from my last post until now. Most of them include my little girl (Why not, right?) and all of them are close to my heart.

2011 has been a bit of a springboard for my photography. I had my first job as a photojournalist, got my first cover photo published, and started my first website. On top of all of that, I have been lucky enough to have such a wonderful audience to share it all with. If you are reading this, you are the reason I have such a passion and drive for my photography. The support and engagement that I receive each time I share new work is invaluable. So, thank you. I hope that everyone has a very merry Christmas, and that the new year brings you only the best.

As always, if you see something you like here, please share it with your friends by clicking the Facebook button below this post. Thanks for stopping by. Cheers.

Delaney does the dog park

Fall is in full swing and the sun is beginning to relent to crisp air as temperatures begin to drop. Not to be deterred by a cool wind, Delaney whined and wagged her way into a trip to the dog park in Oak Creek, WI. This was only her fifth time out to the park, but she gets on very well with all of the other dogs. For anyone keeping track, Delaney is now 19 weeks old and about 55 pounds.

I tried my best to photograph from Delaney’s perspective, squatting and sitting to get most of my shots. All of the photos were taken on my Canon 7D, with a 28-135mm lens with a polarizing filter.

As always, thank you very much for stopping by. If you see something you like, I would really appreciate it if you shared it with your friends by clicking the Facebook button below this post. Cheers!

Aviana Elaine arrives

On October 22, 2011, at 12:23 in the morning Aviana Elaine Kerr was born to Shaun and Sarah Kerr at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison, WI. She is a healthy, happy baby who weighed 6 pounds and 15 ounces and measured 18 inches. Mom, dad, and baby are heading home together for their first time today, so to celebrate this occasion I wanted to share some photos that I had the pleasure of capturing during Aviana’s first day.

As always, thank you very much for stopping by. If you see something here that you like, please share it with your friends by clicking the Facebook button below the post. Congratulations to Shaun, Sarah, and Aviana, the three of you are going to be a wonderful, loving family. Cheers!

Irish Wolfhound Invasion in Illinois

This past weekend Delaney took a trip to Joliet, IL for a picnic sponsored by the Great Lakes Irish Wolfhound Association. Forever the sweetheart, Delaney allowed me to come along to photograph her fun day. It was a blast to be sure, from the wolfhound games to the startled stares of passersby, our gentle giants enjoyed the gathering more than even their human counterparts. As always, thanks for stopping by and if you see anything here that you like please don’t be afraid to pass it on to your friends by clicking the Facebook button below the post. Cheers!

New content coming this weekend

My apologies for the lag in content. Delaney is going to her first lure coursing match this weekend to meet some adult Wolfies, so we will have lots of great stuff for you on Sunday. In the mean time enjoy this photo of her disregarding the car barrier. Cheers!
